Welcome to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Early Education Center in Lake Arrowhead!
We love children and we want them to have fun while learning the skills and experiences that get them ready for life in this world. We are a “can do” school! We have wonderful teachers who provide a loving learning environment for your child.
At the preschool level, the four main types of learning are:
- Visual (learn through seeing)
- Auditory (learn through hearing)
- Tactile (learn through touch)
- Kinesthetic (learn through doing and moving)
We use Zoo-Phonics beginning in the toddler room all the way through the Pre-K class – building on what they have learned each year. In preschool we believe children learn though play and strive to introduce many concepts of language, math, science, arts & crafts, and music & movement.
Our Elementary classes use the Journey’s reading program and Go Math! This is also what is used in the Rim School District, making any transitions easy for the children. We also provide lessons in science, arts and crafts, music & movement, foreign language and much more.
We are a Christian school, and we want children to know the simple, yet most important, message that God loves them just as they are! We have chapel every morning and teach from a Children’s Bible. All parents are invited to ask for a free Children’s Bible they can read to their children at home.

Hours
Mt. Calvary Early Education Center is open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
We are located at 27415 School Road in Lake Arrowhead off Hwy. 18- behind Rim High School.
Preschool
We offer three preschool classes: a toddler class of 18 months and 2 year olds (WE DO TAKE KIDS IN DIAPERS!), a 3 year old class, and a Pre-Kindergarten class. Our core learning time is 9 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday. Parents may select days of the week their child is in class: Tuesday, Thursday (2 days), Monday, Wednesday, Friday (3 days) or Monday through Friday (5 days).
Elementary: Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade
Our elementary classes offer children a quality education with small class size and the attention your child needs. Class time is 9 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday.
Before and Aftercare
We offer extended care for your child 8 am to 5 pm. We follow a traditional school year and are open on normal school days, a full list of our holidays is found in the Parent Handbook, which you will receive upon enrollment.
